Grey Eagle Casino
Hospitality
The Grey Eagle Resort & Casino is situated on the Tsuu T’ina First Nation, in Calgary, Ab. In 2014, the existing casino underwent a renovation, while a new Hotel/Conference facility, and new Event Centre were developed and added.
KBM worked with the team from NORR Architects (Toronto), and Marco Maritimes, the General Contractor from Halifax, to successfully install all of the various types of flooring materials in this multifaceted project.
A custom, colorful, Ulster wool carpet was installed in the Casino, along with hardwood in the Blaze Grill. Porcelain tile and carpet were installed in the expansive Event Centre, while a wood look porcelain tile brightens the Hotel Lobby.
The custom area rug in the Hotel lobby was inspired by a topographical photograph of the site. Several patterns of Interface carpet tile integrate beautifully in the Conference & Meeting Areas.
In the corridor that connects the Casino to the Hotel, you will find a very unique custom Ege carpet with a personalized message of “welcome” in the First Nations native dialect.
This new facility is a true entertainment destination for guests wanting to enjoy the Casino, a night away in the Hotel, or a concert in the Event Centre.
